My Australian shepherd i just adopted has very fair eyes- I noticed she was walking around outside basically with her eyes closed and running into stuff. I was going to try this or goggles. Im pleasantly surprised. It stays on pretty well, she didnt mind it on her, and it did make a difference in her ability to walk around outside. Only changes I would make is a thicker chin strap. It comes with a thin string which doesnt look comfortable at all – it has to be very snug on her neck so the hat is secure. And I would make the bill of the hat another half inch longer probably. If the hat shifts back slightly, her eyes are back in the sun.
For reference, Sophie is 30 lbs and I ordered a size large.

So adorable. Purchased two, one for our beagle and our friend’s cockapoo. While adorable on the beagle, it doesn’t stay on his head very well but the ears hanging out are so cute I don’t really care. Seems to fit and stay in place better for the poo, I think curly haired breeds are better suited as the fluff helps the hat stay in place as opposed to slick otter fur types like my beagle.
The measurements are no joke. The sizes make NO sense in relationship to dog size or weight. Be sure to measure head and refer to chart before purchasing.

Though you can’t see it.. it’s camo. He looks great in it (I’m his Momma, so he looks great in everything to me!) He didn’t try to take it off. In fact, it’s probably the first time he didn’t mind taking a picture… Such a fashion plate…
It doesn’t “stretch” that I can see so if you’re unsure of the size, go bigger. It’s fabric so you can always just put a small stitch in it if you needed to.

I think I ordered a size too small so it didnt really fit. I ordered size S my dog is 12 pounds but shouldve ordered a medium. Its super cute and hilarious. Ive tried it on other dogs. Makes for a fun dog park event.. ha!

Bought both medium and large because my dog seemed in between sizes. There is a huge difference in them. The medium was comically tiny and the large covered half her face. See images. The material is nice and the adjustment clasp seems durable, but had to return both bc neither fit.

This is a basic baseball cap. It would be more useful if it was adjustable in the back as every small dog’s head is not shaped the same. This is my only complaint. Be certain to measure the dog’s head at least three times to ensure you are ordering the right size.

My 15 pound little guy has issue with the sun. The hat (if he would keep it on, we are up to 30 minutes now ) was a bit flat on the brim, we used a dryer ball and put it in the hat and reshaped the bill. It took a week of being held around the ball. Now it is perfect, fits his head and ear spacing great with a rounded brim. If you take the time to train them to wear hats, this one is worth it!

If my dog had been the right size for the hat, It would have worked just fine. Stick to very small dogs for this brand as my dog is usually a small but this small did not work.
I liked the design and the fabric. Very cute. I tried it on my yorkie, 10 pounds, and it was very small for her head. So the ears did not fit well and pulled the hat backwards. That made the brim too short to keep the sun out of my dogs eyes, which is what I needed them for. She has a problem with dry eye and allergies and sun bothers her eyes.

Such a cute hat! I ordered a small and it fit my Yorkie perfectly! His ears and the strap kept it in place as long as he didnt shake it off. A great price for an adorable fun dog hat!

Medium fit my 16lb long hair doxie . He is on medication for dry eye & eyes are very sensitive to sun, especially here in FL. Goggles did not work as he found a way to push them off using the ground & also scratching them.
His long ears help to keep hat on, he cannot shake it off.
