The blue snake has been my dogΒs absolute favorite toy for 3 years now. We have replaced it about once a year when it gets too torn up and grungy. He is a medium sized dog, half lab and loves to eat stuffed animals. He only wants toys that have a plush outside, but will absolutely destroy most of them. This one took him significantly longer to tear up than other plush dog toys, and he chews on and plays tug with it constantly. He loves to play fetch with this very awkward to throw, meter long toy. We call it his emotional support snake because itΒs the thing he runs to get when heΒs excited and needs to expend energy, or when he wants to play with a human. We just keep an eye on him and the toy so we can make sure it doesnΒt become hazardous as he damages it. We mostly stopped buying other new toys and just spend $10 a year replacing this one because he picks it over everything else every time.

BACKGROUND
I have two labradors and, with my friends dogs over, we have a combined combination of five labradors at a time. If you have seen the film “Marley & Me” then you will understand our dogs. They tear through concrete, dry wall, and, well, just about anything they can get their paws and mouths on. It is very important to have plenty of toys for them to keep pre-occupied as most of the destruction is caused by dogs that are bored.
APPEARANCE
RELIABILITY
I have to admit these toys did last about ten times as long as any other toy I have given my dogs. Unfortunately, nothing is indestructible. My dogs managed to find kinks in the lining of the toys that, once penetrated, will cause the toys to open leaving stuffing and squeak toys all over the place. The squeakers did withstand quite a bit of chewing before the squeaking went silent.
I noticed that the snake toy did last quite a bit longer than the gecko or the little dragon characters. The snake had separate compartments for the squeakers and so, if one was torn out, the others survived. On the Gecko once its middle section was torn open the squeakers were lost.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT
Not utilized
PROS:
++ Lasted about 10X times the length of time as other “invincible” toys
CONS:
++ They are not truly “invincible” and will be destroyed over time
CONCLUSION

Didn’t last 1 hour

Love the size, shape, and the squeaker in this toy. It’s all around pretty great, and my bent-on-destruction Boston Terrier hasn’t managed to totally shred this “plushie,” so that’s a bonus! Love that it’s constructed with one continuous line of sewing on the edge–but I’m also concerned, because when I first gave it to him he honed in on the one spot where the edging overlaps, and managed to loosen it enough to where it’s now separated from the body of the toy. I’m concerned because I don’t know if I should trim that part off (if it’s all connected, I worry it will unravel).
But it’s so durable and has been able to take the vigorous play my BT and pug subject it to, so I highly recommend!

We have a pair of one year old Boston Terriers. This breed loves to chew and tug on their toys. This is their favorite toy. They quickly learned that they can quickly get the squeakers out by focusing on the joint where the binding laps over the other end. This should be sewn more securely at the factory. As it is, just one of our dogs can open up this joint in under 30 minutes, peel back the binding and then tear at the edge of the fabric until it separates. They have yak cheese and plastic chew toys and they also chew those, but I think their favorite object in the whole world is a loose squeaker from inside this toy.
We have bought these toys for years. They used to last longer and I think the reason is that this lap joint isn’t being sewn as well as it once was.

I have been on a quest of epic proportions to find a soft dog toy that can stand up to the abuse that my dog inflicts on animal shaped stuffed things because she wonΒt chew on the hard rubber Kong type toys.
Based on this product description, I thought I had found my champion, but alas my search continues. It lasted 2 days. She plucked the fur off of it like it was chicken in need of de-feathering. And you can tell by the pictures that it is now freaking everywhere.
So I donΒt recommend this toy if your dog has some sort of vendetta against small fluffy things like mine. Especially if you donΒt want to have to vacuum every single day ??

Got this for my beagle. He had it torn open within 10 minutes. I’m used to him destroying his toys, but this one shreds into little tiny purple and yellow pieces which coated my floor. I’m still finding purple and yellow fuzzies over a month after the toys has been gone
Reba Murphy –
Survived for 3 weeks. I’d still buy it again.
Margaret Doster –
Had to throw this one away after a week. I have a super chewer and all of the squeakers were out after 1 night and it was torn to shreds within days. Sturdy enough if you have a dog that actually plays with toys and doesnΒt just destroy them, but if youΒre looking for a really tough toy this isnΒt it!

I have an almost 6 month old Dobie puppy that is a very heavy cheer, and loves tug-of-war. I donΒt like using ropes because Dobies are notorious chewers and they can ingest some of the rope. This toy is perfect because he canΒt rip it apart, and even if he does, it doesnΒt have any stuffing so thereΒs nothing for him to swallow. He absolutely loves this toy as do I because it is so long I donΒt have to worry about him accidentally biting me. Though it is durable it will not last forever and I have had to replace it a couple times. Nonetheless, I think it is totally worth it if you have a dog that loves to chew and loves to play tug-of-war.

I actually have 5 dogs but the little elderly Chihuahua doesnΒt chew anything just barks at other doggos while theyΒre playing . 4 large breeds that tear up just about any toy given but this one, so far. I ordered this aprox 3 weeks ago( not long ago but with toys they only last few minutes usually) and itΒs still going strong. Dirty as all hell but they play tug o war multiple times daily with this toy . ThereΒs bits and pieces everywhere of other toys. I will purchase this toy again when the time comes from either getting torn up or just to gross to use anymore ??????. IΒm gonna check out the other toys of this seller and hope the other chew toys hold up like this one if I purchase . HereΒs what is looks like currently. No rips and squeaky is still squeaking extremely dirty we have a dirt field . Picture of dogs above , Chihuahua not pictured ??

The toy is ok and IΒll keep it but it is by no means 24.5Β long. Maybe I got a dud, if not someoneΒs tape measurer is off or they donΒt know how to use it. Had I know it would be shorter than listed I wouldΒve bought a bigger one assuming it also is not as long as advertised

This is literally both of my GSD’S favorite toy. They are tough on toys, and for the cost, I will keep buying them because they make them happy. Truly should just buy stock in the company. They don’t last long, but they do make the pups happy!

Best toys we have bought so far!!

This toy has large rectangular squeakers the dog couldnΒt destroy. My 3.5# dog shredded the fabric creating ΒtuftsΒ of shredded fabric floating around the house within 2 hours all 4 squeakers were out of the you. I finally found a use for odd socks, I out the squeakers inside a couple of odd socks and the dog still loves the squeaker and the socks seem to last about 2 days before she gets the squeaker out.

I ordered this in advance of the arrival of my 11 wk old Corgi pup. Not knowing what kind of a chewer I was getting, I wanted something that squeaked but did not have too many extremities to rip and tear at. I also didn’t want too much stuffing to end up all over my house and in my buddy’s tummy. It is soft and well constructed. I like that the snake is compartmentalized so that if one segment is breached, the others are not.
As it turned out, at this time, my pup is not a violent ripper (except for with paper and cardboard). After a week of testing, it is his favorite toy. It took him about two days to figure out how to squeak it and boy does he love it. It is the only toy he will haul around, which is hilarious because its bigger than he is. It is also the only toy that he will play fetch with. I’m also working on “leave it” with the with him.
Nemo chews a lot, but hasn’t shown much interest in ripping at his toys, so after a week (if it were washed) it could probably pass as new. I also try to switch him over to a bone or rubber toy when he starts getting really excited. I am weary since my last dog was a lab who would shred her toys in seconds.
Nemo was ripping at the tag (something about paper) so I cut that off to prevent a seem getting opened up. I’m surprised that the tongue is still intact. The tongue and eyes are weak links and Nemo does like to chew on them.
Overall, I’m very pleased with this toy. My husband was skeptical and thought it a bit ridiculous, but even he has decided it was a good buy.
*Update*
Our original snake lasted 7 months. Nemo loved it. He would carry it around with him and squeak it till my husband and I went insane. He had mastered the rapid fire squeak. It was also the only toy he would reliably fetch. After 7 months my pup had punctured two of the squeakers and the fur was getting threadbare in some place. But overall we were very happy with the product.

These are so pretty and vibrant. They do not last long for dogs who like to chew and rip. Very entertaining to watch them play with!

My Dalmatian mix loves this snake. For the most part, it is really sturdy and surprisingly he hasnΒt been able to damage or get to any of the squeakers yet however, it only took him a few hours to figure out the weakest part of this snake which is the binding. It isnΒt well sewn on and he was able to work loose some of the stitches and then pulled the whole thing off from around the outside edge of the entire snake. The snake is still in one piece however, in taking off the binding, there is now black thread everywhere, which is actually a danger should he swallow it (could bind up in intestines). If they put more effort into attaching the binding better, this might just be the perfect toy
suzen carey –
Well after an hour Salty the dachshund had the tag chewed out…he is methodical, chews tag, gets an opening, removes guts and squeakers, then works that opening till he can shred the binding. I watch to make sure he doesn’t eat it and most times I sew the opening closed 2-3 times. But Salty will continue to test your toys because they are better quality than most.

Our 8 month old shepherd-mix puppy was absolutely crazy about this. And why not? It has great chewing surfaces and several big, loud squeakers. Unfortunately, our pup has graduated to the stage where the best part of playing with a toy is the squeakerectomy. She had the head open in a couple hours with one of the squeakers out and the other two in reach. At that point, I excised the remaining squeakers and tossed them out to keep her from ingesting pieces of plastic–so what she has now is a fuzzy rag. Which she still likes, but not so much.
Bottom line: a really great toy, but not very resistant to aggressive demolition work from a strong dog.

This is a great toy for my dog. She is rough on toys and destroys them quickly. This one hasn’t escaped destruction, but it hung in there longer than most. She has managed to chew off the edging. The squeakers are big and loud, and she loves them!

I have a medium sized, 35lb, mixed breed dog. I have no idea what he is, I got him from a shelter, but so far they think he is a mix between a portuguese sheepdog and maybe a schnauzer. He is not a destroyer or a super aggressive chewer but he loves the squeaky noises and goes at them until they squeak no more, which is usually a few days-a week.
This toy was twice as much as I normally pay but wanted to try since it said it would squeak even after its punctured. Its about 36 inches, a little furry, soft and has 6 squeakers. I wasn’t sure how it would go since its longer than my dog. I thought it was going to be awkward for him to play with but, OMG, he LOVES it, he doesn’t even play with the other toys anymore.
When I play with him, I’ll dangle it like a pendulum and he goes wild trying to get it. Normally with the smaller toys, he’ll sometimes get my hand trying to get to the toy but with the length of this one, my hand is safe. I’ll also put it on the floor and wriggle it around like a snake so he can pounce on it. He entertains himself with it for hours and carries it with him everywhere. He grabs it from the middle so it dangles from his mouth. If he doesn’t get it right, he’ll put it down and rearrange it in such a way that he can carry it. When he is in a hurry he drags it tripping all over it.. but he won’t leave it behind. The larger size also makes it harder for him to lose and for me to spot when he leaves it outside.
I am really happy with it, obviously, my dog is, too. So far this has been the best toy i’ve gotten him and i’ve tried quite a few. These are some of the toys I’ve gotten him that have met their end at his paws.

…and countless others from the store. I can’t say exactly how long they lasted but usually nor more than a week.
Normally I buy $5 toys that lasts 3-7 days. This one was like $12 but it has already been a week and its still in pretty good condition. I will update this later when the toy meets his end to see how long it lasts.
UPDATE: 1/5/13
Its now been 2.5 weeks and the toy is still squeaking its protest against my dogs incessant abuse…
One more update – 4/21/13
Some of the squeakers have stopped squeaking but its still his favorite toy. I usually purchase toys every 2-3 weeks and it has been over 4months. Am buying another one!

We have a one year old short haired collie that usually destroys toys within a couple hours. This toy has been going strong for almost a month now, and it is his favorite toy!! The only thing he has managed to do is rearrange and poked holes in the squeakers inside, but they still squeak!! This is by far the best and most durable, longest lasting toy we have had so far!!

I can tell the squeaker is going to break easily but overall seems good and tough quality.

Not the right toy for us, but I see its value. Even possibly for human children?!
Meglet –
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my two dachshunds. This thing is huge! It came in a long, thin box. I wish IΒd taken a picture; it was like 4Β long. When it was delivered I had no idea what it could possibly be. A Red Rider B.B. gun? But it makes for nice visual variety when all your packages are grouped together: a nice vertical piece to draw the eye.
This would be a great toy for a BIG dog, but for dachshunds; heΒs just too big and heavy. I want something indestructible, but it needs to be small enough for my guys to shake to death. (ItΒs their instinct.) Mr. Long is too much for them. TheyΒre not really chewers so much as killing machines. They like realistic woodland critters, though their favorite has been the Loofah Dog that had the prerequisite squeakers (to mimic sequels and screams) *and* a bone inside that they could really focus on trying to snap by shaking it violently. Unfortunately, that toy had stuffing, and dachshundsΒ duty, and tradition, once theyΒve made the kill, is to slowly pull out all its guts, or in this case, stuffing. Everywhere.
Mr. Long has no stuffing, nor does he even have a nose, ears, or limbs to gnaw, twist, tug, and tear at. I shouldΒve realized that might make him boring for dogs bred to kill rats. Their other stuffing-free toys have their protuberances carefully, determinedly chewed off, which makes up for there being no guts to glory in.
I think this toy is suitable for heavy chewers who like to wail on squeakers and who are big enough that he doesnΒt overwhelm them. I thought getting a long toy would enable my wieners to share, and play tug, but itΒs not happening. However, thatΒs not the toyΒs fault. I bought a toy that doesnΒt suit my dogsΒ needs. I didnΒt pay enough attention to his dimensions, either. I just focused on finding a toy that had squeakers that lasted more than 5 minutes, and had no stuffing. But I done goofed by not thinking beyond that.
So, I rate it 4 stars, because even though itΒs a failure at my house, I can see its appeal and its desirable qualities. IΒm just not sure I know which breed of dog *would* love this toy at these dimensions in this form. I actually think it might even be great for a human toddler, as long as those eyes are secure, which they ought to be. ItΒs cute and bright and fun and silly and my nephew wouldΒve loved it as a wee one. He had a plush snake but it didnΒt have these awesome squeakers. I may test it on my neighbors kids! I donΒt have to listen to it! ??

Good quality and dogs love the size!

My little 20lb Pug mix plows through toys, especially ones with a squeaker inside. This snake has 3 big loud squeakers! She loved tearing into them and trying to pull the squeakers out. These are tough, no doubt, but my girl has extracted two of the squeakers so far and destroyed them both.
A. Savage –
We had gotten another one of these before Covid and our dog has managed to kill some of the squeakers but not all. I’d guess maybe half of the squeakers are still going after 4 years. This is AMAZING because Abby is a squeaker kill! lol Usually within a few minutes. And she has not managed to rip ANY of them out of the one we’ve had for about 4 years. Some of the material is starting to rip on a few sections, but, for whatever reason, the toy is still mostly intact. It’s a soft material, too, so I’m not sure what the secret is. We would highly recommend this toy for people whose dogs love squeakers!
M. Anderson –
These are great for my Labs – they love playing tug and squeaking with them and they last a decent amount of time at a reasonable price.

If you have a big dog that likes to tug with *all* toys, then this is worth every penny. It was doing really well until my dog started gnawing exclusively on one arm.
