108 reviews for Soft Donut Plush Dog Toy – Cute Squeaky Chew Toy for Small & Medium Dogs 🍩🐢✨

  1. Lia

I specifically looked for a dog toy that Β“movedΒ” because I have one of those battery operated flopping fish toys for my cat and my Pitbull LOVES that toy even though he isnΒ’t allowed to play with it and never really does unless I supervise him, he gets to play with it for a minute. I wanted to find something similar for him because I just knew heΒ’d love it. Therefore, I went on a search and didnΒ’t find exactly what I was looking for but when I saw this toy I thought maybe it could be fun for him because he does love to bite toys and even though it wasnΒ’t what I was looking for necessarily I thought IΒ’d try it.
On the listing on Amazon it says and shows that you need to squeeze the stomach of the Bunny toy so that the ears can move/flop. It also came labeled that way on the toy itself when I received it. Though, that is not how it actually works, unless I received a defective toy. The ball/air mechanism is actually in the head of the bunny. Which if you can imagine and if you see the picture, if my dog bites the head of the bunny that holds the ears down so they donΒ’t flop. It does not make sense to me why it would be in the head of the bunny when the entire point of the toy is for that to be pressed and for the ears to flop. So, if that is actually how the toy is supposed to work, then that is a complete misrepresentation and the company needs to change all their claims and labels, because that is not true and if I wouldΒ’ve known the truth I wouldnΒ’t have purchased it because it simply doesnΒ’t make sense to me. I would expect the ball/air mechanism to be in the stomach of the Bunny toy so that way it could be pressed on the bottom and the ears can flop freely. I am hoping the one I received is defective but IΒ’m not sure that it is. I just want to put this out there in case you are thinking of purchasing the TrustyPup Action Plush Bunny Dog Toy, it may not be what is claimed on the site or on the packaging.

    Tough!! Tough!!

  3. Marion P.

  4. Rachel Lazere

I bought multiples. He’s pretty easy on his toys. I have to bust out a new one every 6 months or so due to daily use.

  5. jrv5rcs4b

    Dog loved it to deathΒ…

  6. Margaret Bellinger

Hasn’t been ripped apart by my aggressive chewer…

  7. JJ Fay

My initial version of this review I had concerns with my 70 pound pit bull not being able to get his jaws around the head of this which is where the air mechanism for the ears and the squeaker reside. I take that back. My dog has figured it out and he loves this toy. He grabs it by the ears and shakes it to death (never saw him do this with any other toy. Quite amusing). He’ll jump on it to make it squeak and also bite it. He’s not a rip it apart kind of dog so I anticipate this toy will be fun for him for many months to come.

  8. Dee

Was cute but didnΒ’t squeak very easily.

  9. Patrick

My dog is very sweet, but he’s also huge, about 100 lbs, and ever since he was a little puppy, he has had a true aptitude for destruction. He has been through dozens of “indestructible” or “tough” pet toys, and frankly, at under ten bucks, I was not expecting much from this one, apart from some novelty for him. Not only does he love it, but it has stood up very well under several typical play sessions. In fact, there’s no damage visible. Really great job to the manufacturer, this is a quality product.

  10. Tfisher

We have a corgi that destroys everything in minutes except these!!! Fantastic brand that lasts!

  11. Hilda

    Peanut butter sandwich dog toy

  12. 0aicr2cf

Toy is not made for aggressive chewer

  13. Dionne R

Good price. My dog loves it and this toy lasted longer than most. But not sturdy enough for a super chewer, even though it is of good quality.

  14. Betty Jo Bradley

Jan, 2024 No toy is chew proof, but this one is pretty 1well made. We used to buy a lot of Zippy Paws Donutz, but they really pissed me off when they moved their wholesalers to Faire. This donut is about the same size, but is made from strong corduroy and the only plastic is the well padded squeaker. Zippy Paws are made from a really cheap plush material that will rip if you even look at it crossways! And that crappy material covers very thin, blown plastic that is easily destroyed by even the smallest dogs. This toy does float, despite being almost all corduroy and padding. I hope that I can get many more to replace the Zippy Paws that are so inferior to these!
Update: Dec 2024. I have now used one of these donuts for an entire year. I looked at it yesterday and it has ONE popped stitch! A dedicated toy destroyer with no supervision *could* destroy this, but considering that it is used by many dogs with various degrees of oversight, I say it’s a damn fine toy! And it floats!

  15. j&a

I didn’t realize how big this item was, or how heavy duty it is. I got it to replace an old donut toy my dog kept bringing to me, even after the squeaker and stuffing were pulled out! But this one…it is definitely for tough chewers (which my dog used to be, but as he’s almost 9, I think he gets too tired to “work” on it as much as he used to his other toys) and larger dogs. My 40 lb. doodle doesn’t seem to even be able to carry it around! lol. If you have a very destructive dog, this toy would be perfect!

  16. S. Ferguson

    Not so tough

  17. Ryan H.

    quality seems hit and miss

  18. Therese R.

DidnΒ’t last long for me but it could for you

  19. Christianchic

He had this chewed in less than an hour. The first one he had he squeaked and loved for a monthΒ… until he figured out how to tear the seams. The second one I bought he had tore immediately. They are pretty tough but not tough enough

  20. Eric K Loskot

    Oh well. He loved it.

  21. Shadowlander

I originally bought this donut from a local retailer for our Pit mix. Her favorite past time is reducing toys to their constituent parts. Our carpet is often bathed in the white fluff of common toys! Then came the Donut challenge… I’m not going to say that it lasted until this day because obviously, I purchased a new one from Amazon. It did however last for several weeks! Upon it’s funeral I went to purchase a replacement for our distraught Gretchen but low and behold I couldn’t remember where I purchased it… Luckily I was smart enough to save the name tag of our valiant sacrifice. We found our favorite flavor, large chocolate donut and all is again right in the world!
The magic recipe for this donut is a special tear resistant fabric with extra tough stitching which incases its fluffy, “doughy” insides and finally (as with all delicious donuts) it’s filled with a strong knotted rope.
This toy is DEFINITELY a must have for any collection. It may not be indestructible but it does it’s duty until the end! It’s well worth the money for the joy it will bring your BDFF (Best Doggo Friend Forever)!!!

  22. lee

I bought this toy based on reviews with hopes that IΒ’d find it to be heavy duty and long lasting. Out of the three toys I bought that claimed to be more chew resistant, this one did hold up the longest. However, it lasted merely 3/4 days in comparison to the others being wrecked immediately. Our 7 month old lab puppy was able to destroy this. Upon inspection of it after it was torn apart, I found it was made more durable than the other toys I bought. Unfortunately for us, its durability level still wasnΒ’t enough to last. It has two layers of thicker fabric material with a rope inside to keep the donut shape. I appreciated that the squeaker was sewn in a fabric bag to keep the dog safer for longer if they are able to get it out. It gives the owner more time to get the squeaker away from the dog before they actually reach the plastic of the squeaker. The company appeared to put thought into making this toy, however, it doesnΒ’t withstand a heavier puppy chew.
I can definitely see this as a wonderful toy for a light chewer or young puppy. Very aggressive chewers or heavier puppy chewers like mine, itΒ’s likely to not withstand.

  23. nancy campbell

The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the squeaky is very small& hard to get to squeak. Other than that it should last longer than the fuzzy ones.

  24. Mary Wyatt

Cute but the edges don’t stand a chance

  25. j91hoxs4de

    Gretchen the Destroyer Approved!

  26. Three little birds

To say my dog (a lab pit mix) destroys her toys would be an understatement. This has been the longest lasting soft squeaky toy we’ve ever bought her. She’s had it for many months and happily plays with it squeaking and running through the house. No rips, tears, de-squeaking or de-stuffing as of yet. Highly recommend if you have a dog that loves their toys way too hard.

  27. 6q3m34om76

    This toy has lasted

  28. Bruce L.

Only took her a few hours to chew through it

  29. Cathy

I have an aggressive chewer, Westiepoo. Gave the toy to him on Christmas morning. He had the squeaker out in about 20 minutes or less. The toy was advertised for aggressive chewers. This is unacceptable ??

  30. 2nx4kdiur

Defective Dog Toy or a Misrepresentation?

  31. Janet Schmidt

I had one of these that my dog loved to death, it lasted so long. it was finally showing signed of coming apart so I got another couple from amazon. he destroyed the first one in 2 weeks, the second one in less than 10 minutes. I really wanted it to be a lasting toy for him as he loves them so much. He is a cocker/Shi Tzu mix. so not a huge dog, I got the really big one for him and he likes it ok, its just too big for him and he can’t get to the squeaker which is his main goal.

  32. MRod23

I was hopeful based on other reviews, but my aggressive chewer (almost 1 year old Bernedoodle) destroyed the large donut in about 30 minutes

  33. Susie

I purchased two of these for my aggressive chewer. She’s played with them numerous times and never ripped them open.
Additionally, she likes to lay down and use the toy as a pillow.
When they get dirty or slobbered all over, I toss them in the washer. They was up great. I also have dried them in the dryer.
I would definitely recommend the donut. My baby loves playing with it, running around carrying it, sleeping with it, ect.

  34. DawnH

Has held up but dog isnΒ’t crazy about it

  35. Tattoo mama

She hasnΒ’t stopped playing with this since itΒ’s arrived. I ordered two just in case but this aggressive chewer hasnΒ’t even popped the squeaker or ripped out the stuffing she is obsessed she flips it around and sleeps with it

  36. F. Strickland

    TOUGH & DURABLE

  37. Dale P.

    Amazing for heavy chewers!

  38. M. Long

    Small size

  39. Sonya Saran

    Puppy toy lobster

  40. nsmrv

Pretty sturdy for my strong chewer

  41. L. Chong

Bought this about 2 weeks ago for my teething pup, who happens to be a little rougher with her toys. She got 3-4 hours with this toy every other day, and I think it’s held up better than expected. Kirara loves the toy and plays with it whenever she gets the chance (you can see her eyeing it, waiting for me to give it back to her, lol). I do love that this toy has no stuffing + that it’s lasted longer than expected, so I’ve purchased another one and will continue to buy them for her until she gets bored of them.
Though having purchased both variations of the donut (“Tough ‘N Fun” and “Strong ‘N Silent (Ultrasonic)”), I hear no audible difference between the two. Both editions have a loud squeaker that sound identical. While I personally don’t care about the squeaking, I am deducting one star for product trueness for those that do. Other than that though, the product is perfect for me and my pups needs πŸ™‚
    Overall? 4 stars!

  42. qilpw

    Good option!

  43. Marian

My dog has played with this toy everyday since he was a puppy. He is now 17 months and still plays with it.
It is made very sturdy and has a great squeaker in it.

  44. Veronica

    Highly recommend for destructive dogs

  45. Kathy Barr

Talking about not sharing a peanut butter sandwich between two grown old men while they were duck hunting gave me (one of the wives) the idea to purchase this and have it shipped to one of them. Best joke ever and we all got a great laugh.

  46. J. Sundt

    Not So Tough

  47. Lisa M. Wright

My pup destroyed it in a mater of minutes. Give minutes into playing with it she had the squeaker chewed up and stuffing pulled out. Thought it would have lasted at least a day! Didn’t even last an hour!

  48. John

    Easily destructible

  49. Jody Tosti

    My Lab loves this guy.

  50. 3mejjn40

    Still in one piece

  51. Diana

DidnΒ’t last as long as I hoped

  52. Keith Richard

    My mal is in love

  53. Michele P.

    Best joke gift

  54. P. Carter

    No squeaker

  55. M.

All around good buy, won’t get demolished easily. However, for its size the squeaker is relatively small, so if your dog is a squeaky toy dog, you may want something else.

  56. Sandra L.

I love GoDog toys…all of them. They are tough and durable. They are my GoTo (sorry, I couldn’t resist) gift for my grandpups at Christmas or just because. The dragons are especially popular, but the movement on this one & the lobster were too cute. Another much loved GoDog toy!

  57. Jenny Cail

Very small….but my dane still loves it

  58. Morgan

I have two dobermans, both around 95 pounds, one who chews ANY toy open and the other that rips it apart piece by piece; they work as a team.
I was hopeful to try this toy as it seemed too deep for the chewer to really get a good hold of, and, from the pictures, had nothing sticking out other than the loop at the top which I planned to cut off anyway to avoid it being swallowed.
I received the toy fairly quickly, and my dogs immediately LOVED it. The squeaker is a bit small, but that doesn’t seem to deter them. However pretty much straight away the chewer found a tag of fabric that was sewn in and began ripping at it, managing to open the seam right beside it. If I had known about this tag, I wouldn’t have purchased.
I’ve hand-repaired the seam and been dividing out playtime with it so it lasts a bit longer, and so far so good. They still love it!

  59. Deann Lunstrum

Decently robust toy. Good alternative to Zippy Paws donutz

  60. Gail

    My dogs LOVE this toy

  61. 4msy0l8z

    Didn’t last long??????

  62. Chiem F.

The doughnut is pretty tough. ItΒ’s not like your normal plushy where itΒ’s soft. ItΒ’s pretty firm. One problem is it doesnΒ’t have a squeaker. It doesnΒ’t squeak at all actually. IΒ’m not sure if I got a defective one but it all feels like rope inside only. No squeaker nonetheless she still likes it. But I know sheΒ’d love it more if it squeaked.

  63. Chelsea

I ordered more of these toys because my dog LOVES the pig ball of this brand. Like it is her favorite toy and it’s lasted us quite some time. She enjoys just squeaking the squeaker and tossing it around. She isn’t actually tearing it up or destroying it.
The other two toys we got seem good. The donut feels super high quality and has a nice squeaker to it. The dragon seems built like the cactus but hopefully the squeaker lasts a bit longer In this one.
Either way maybe we got a fluke but this brand of dog toys are high quality and good. I’ll recommend !
Breed of dog is German shepherd for reference.

  64. P Allen

I bought several for my dog. Loves to carry around very soft, small size is great.

  65. Sheryl Donnelly

    Third purchase! Favorite toy!

  66. Danitra N.

I have a miniature poodle that loves to chew through all of his toys. I typically purchase tough toys in hopes that the toy will last a few weeks before my dog destroys the toy. Being this was a tough dog toy, my dog shredded this toy in about 1 day during his mini play sessions. The toy was very cute and my dog was entertained, I just wish the toy was more durable.

  69. CAROL JONES

THIS IS HIS 2ND ONE…….THE OTHER ONE I GOT WHEN HE WAS A PUPPY AND HE WAS IN CHEWING STAGE…..THIS ONE……HE LOVES!! HE CARRIES IT AROUND AND DOES NOT TRY TO DESTOY IT…IT’S A WONDERFUL TOY….AND…IT SQUEAKS…..WHICH HE LOVES…

  70. L. Moor

PBJ is the favorite here and has survived three dogs for months at a time. Three tough chewers! Every time I bring one out they are so excited and run away with it squeeking the whole time. Grandma is the favorite because of the PBJ!

  71. Michael Maloy

    Not very durable

  72. Betty G.

    My Labradooble’s fave toy!

  73. Dawn Fregans

This is my second one, lasted at least three months or more. This was Boston terrier tested.

  74. David Cooke

    Birthday Boy!

  75. AshleyS

I will say my pup absolutely loves this toy but as far as tough idk about that one he had holes in this within no time. The design is a little flimsy for something to be considered as tough as the jelly can be bitten and torn right off. Was it worth the $ no did my dog love it while it lasted all of 20mins yes.

  76. Martin

    Not the most durable

  77. Laurel Lee

This was so cute seemed really well made. It was a Birthday Gift for a bigger dog we have visit. Although I feel my Yorkie Puppy would have played with it. The big toys she hauls around are hysterical. Great Value!

  78. Tami

all my pups want jammy sammich…..a favorite for sure

  79. Mary L.

Fun toy for big dogs – squeaker area will be much too big for small dogs to operate

  80. Nicholas

Penguin: My husky loves it, she uses it like a pacifier in the kennel at night and hasn’t chewed through it yet. I don’t think the squeaker actually works because she doesn’t react to it when “squeaked”.
Donut: My husky really likes to chew holes in toys and pull the stuffing out. So far most toys haven’t lasted long and unfortunately this isn’t an exception. First of all is not very plush, it’s a lot harder then I thought it would be. Secondly she chewed a quarter sized hole in the side after a couple hours (through all layers of fabric to the plush filling). Not a bad toy and may hold up to less aggressive chewers. Thirdly it has a very loud squeaker in it (definitly not ultrasonic).

  81. B. Mcdermond

    my pups love it

  82. V. White

    Solid and durable

  83. Charlene Gipson

I am so impressed with this duck dog toys! Our heavy chewer cairn terrier had chewed right through other toys in minutes! This has held up amazingly, even with his gnawing at it!

  84. Batch

My dog loves the toy, but sheΒ’s only had it for one day and has chewed through the tail.

  85. Derrick Brown

My dog is obsessed with her bunny toy!

  86. Thmbsup13

My almost 2 y/o pup destroys everything, even Kong toys. This has lasted 2 weeks so far, which is a lifetime for my dog. I am pleasantly surprised. The only thing that is annoying is the squeaker inside. The toy is great, but my dog chews the toy so much that the squeaker inside is being squeezed constantly. It’s a lot, but she’s having fun trying to destroy it. It is still going so I’m happy.

  87. Doug F.

    So far so good

  88. Winston

    Quality

  89. Badurika

This Β“Chew Guard Β“ is the way to go very tough and last

  90. Karl

High quality, great price – super chewer approved!

  91. Rachel

My rough collie has had this for a couple days now and seems to like it and hasnΒ’t chewed it to pieces just yet lol everyoneΒ’s saying itΒ’s chewed up in seconds but it is not advertised as indestructible just harder to chew up than basic cheap stuffed toys, I like it and so does my boy so IΒ’m happy , also like that it has the bigger squeaker my pup seems to like toys with that more! Also very cute for photos for his birthday ??

  92. f8aib

    Cute

  93. Tony H.

    Young Days of Old
I have a 3 year old Puggle who destroys every plush toy heΒ’s had. I previously bought this in the small size and it lasted for several months, which was surprising. When it was finally time to replace it, I bought this on Amazon, not realizing it had a large size. He tore a hole in it and started tearing stuffing out in a week.
I bought this as a backup so I had it for about a month before I actually gave it to him. I contacted the manufacturer, who boasts about their product guarantee. It turns out itΒ’s only for 30 days from the date of purchase.. Amazon gives 30 day returns on almost everything anyway. I expressed my disappointment, but theyΒ’re in the money business, not the pet happiness business.
I even asked the manufacturer for suggestions on how to tell my dog that he can no longer play with his favorite toy! Their answer was to give me a bunch of links to other products. I wouldΒ’ve been thrilled with a refund or a replacement of the small size.
Instead of buying this toy, take (9) $1 bills, give it to your dog and let them shred them. Same results.

  94. J. Colby

Cute and my dog loved it but it wasnΒ’t very durable

  95. Pam

Thd quality is good, but not totally indestructible as my dachshund showed me but it lasted a year! That’s a big plus, we got her first one for Christmas last year. She tore it up this Christmas day and I had to toss it, she’s missing it so bought another!

  96. Wallace

Good dog toy for my dachshund.

  97. Sonya Prichard

Dogs LOVE it, a few issues for humans though

  98. Keith Compton

    Tough toy

  99. Patty Preziosi

So the chew guard technology did not work for my dog! He was able to open a whole at the seam and pulled out the squeaker! I am so glad I was able to get it from him! It’s his favorite toy and I hope he does better with the replacement!

  100. cynsational

In the first few hours of giving this to our dog, she chewed away some of the jelly along the edges, so up it went. Just wish I could find one plush she canΒ’t destroy.

  101. cmd9qge0v

    So Cute & Sturdy

  102. K. Rich

    Very hard

  103. Liza

Updated: I also purchased another donut and the flamingo since my last review. I timed how long it took him to destroy the Flamingo squeaker, since most die within the toy after a few days, maybe a week. This has lasted a solid 2 months!! He finally got a hole in the neck and pulled out all the stuffing with squeaker. I rebought the donut, as the toy is easy to throw and roll, and stays intact. Very sturdy for destroyer of toy type dogs.
My dog is a pit mix and quite the chewer. He very quickly destroys and takes out the stuffing. ItΒ’s been 2 weeks, and while there was a hole on the side fairly quickly, there seems to be a sturdy piece of rope around the outside. It helps keep the shape and limits how much of the stuffing he can get. ItΒ’s holding up pretty well overall!

  104. B. Fyfe

My dog is an aggressive chewer and this is a tough toy.

  105. P. Marin

    Fun

  106. James S.

Squeaker lasted less than 10 minutes.

  107. M. Venegas

MY DOG LOVES THIS PEANUT AND JELLY SANDWICH….

  108. Jac

This toy actually lasted longer than a single day, which is rare for a soft toy in my house. It was well worth the money as my dogs loved it and they got almost a week’s worth of play out of it before they destroyed it. If you have dogs that tear their soft toys up this might be a good option for you. I’ve bought it multiple times. As you can see in the photos, they literally napped with it and also would just come drop it at my feet. Great buy.
