Our Chihuahua does not like her feet touched. These are roomy enough that she does not mind when you slide them on. The beads tighten just enough to keep them on her feet, as long as her feet are all the way to the bottom and the elastic is around the leg. She walks a little silly, but she got the hang of it the very first time we put the booties on. I cannot say for sure if they would help on walks. We do not take her on walks when it is cold and snowy enough for her to wear booties. She does not like be outdoors for long, even with her insulated parka, as well.

So, I ordered these little shoes for a dog I babysit. I ordered a medium and that size was a perfect fit which tells me the company knows exactly what they are doing. However, I’d like to have them just a little bit longer upward toward the legs. (But this is my own desire; and may not be someone else’s desire)
It’s very cold here in my location at this time and Jackson needs his feet covered during those nights.. He has to get used to them as he seems to have a little problem getting down the stairs with them on. Last June we vacationed in Petrified Forest National Park in our camper van with our wee Pomeranian, Gretel. We brought a comfortable backpack for her, but we also knew she would enjoy walking with us some of the time; we had to find something to protect her paws from the hot pavement. I purchased two different types of shoes. The first set had solid rubber soles. They would probably have worked better than these, but Gretel was dropped at the vet’s office when she was a puppy leaving her with a permanent hip problem; the learning curve was too steep for her. These soft soled shoes protected her feet somewhat and were certainly better than nothing at all. I tried two sizes: Size 5 was slightly small. Size 6 was slightly large. We went with the size 6, but the fact that it was slightly large caused the shoe to drag slightly. The fabric eventually wore out where it contacted the pavement. I believe they would work well inside the house on tile or hardwood floors to keep her from slipping.

I honestly had low expectations, but these have been great!! I got them for rainy days because I live near construction which turns to mud when itΒs wet, and was tired of cleaning muddy paws. My dog got used to these almost immediately and does not seem to mind them at all. They also stay on much better than I thought they would. One has popped off a couple times, but the majority of the time they do not come off. Very happy I got these!

We have tried a couple other types of dog shoes/boots, and these are the first that actually stay on her paws! The draw string is key! We have a toy Aussie, so she has small paws. These have been great when the temps are below zero and too cold for her to have bare paws.

This was a gift for a rescue dog for a co worker. Fit was perfect and allowed the dog to walk on hot pavement, but its an adjustment and adorable to watch. The drawstring function isn’t quite tight enough to maintain them on his little feet, but could be not drawn quite tight enough. All in all good purchase great price.

These have worked well for our mini schnauzer in the snow and on pavement. They are the easiest dog boots to put on and take off that I’ve owned. They also stay on. They don’t appear to be the most durable ever though we’ve used them for a few months without issue. For this price, if they last a year they would still be fantastic. We ordered a second pair already. There’s no point in paying too much for dog shoes as you’re likely to lose one anyway. Either way, these work as well as the more expensive options that we’ve bought. They are not fully waterproof, best used for dry surfaces and for short-ish times in snow (they’ve worked just fine for a couple to 3 hours in snow for us, and kept our dog’s feet dry) though to be fair, we’ve never tried longer periods in the snow.

Living in the city, the streets can get very filthy. Even for a short walk, it gets really dirty!
This is just a small little pouch with a little adjuster to keep it from falling off. Just tuck the string under once, and it should get it out of the way for your dog.
Made it easy for her to walk and didnΒt seem to mind it as much. You get what you pay for, but I think itΒs worth it. Will definitely replace when it has wear and tear.
