  1. Petra Rollins

Not only do these gloves remove the loose hair it massages the dog! He loves it! While running the gloves over the dog to remove loose hairs to prevent shedding in the house, the dog stands so still enjoying the massage! Win-Win! Great product, easy to use, good design.

  2. kelly

Cats disliked them. Dog loved them with not the results I hoped for in regards to hair removal.

  3. Margie T.

Came recommended. Glad I bought these. Massages as brushes. Coat is nicer and she gets excited when she sees the gloves. Removes much more of hair so picking up less on furniture and clothing. No cons here, just pros.

  4. Sandra Baron

    Good

  5. Emilia

    Works great

  6. Patrica Williams

The only thing my long-haired cat will let me use on him

  7. John

Dog who hates brushes likes these gloves

  8. Jane Norris

So far so good. My dog Rousie liked the grooming. To her it’s petting. She is a short hair and it does remove loose hair and shedding from
Her coat. Mostly it drops on the ground and does not collect in the glove.

  9. Yu Abernethy

    Works great on Kitty

  10. Patricia

    Work well

Let me start by saying that I purchased these gloves specifically for my eldest cat, who refuses to be brushed and would rather hack up hair balls. After 15 years of this, her issue with hairballs has become a major health concern and I decided it was time we tried a different brushing/grooming solution and I can tell you right now, I wish I had just went ahead and bought these gloves sooner.
It’s not often I go out of my way to write a good and honest review, but I’m so content with my purchase I felt the need to share my experience. I don’t know how well these gloves perform with dogs, so for those reading who don’t own cats, you can move onto another review. But for those of you with brush-stubborn cats, these gloves are worth trying!
I have two cats, and after a few attempts at brushing casually, I’ve come to find they’re still a bit weary of the gloves and both of my cats accept brushing from them in their own ways.
My eldest cat will come find me and meow in my face until I’ve gone through a check list of things I assume she’s meowing about (food, water, clean litter, attention, etc…) and when all else fails, I bust out the gloves and pet her until she tries to walk forward, firmly grasp around her chest area and let her walk out of the grasp as I brush her whole body area to the tip of her tail while she walks out of my grip. She then looks back at me and gives me her ‘meowpurr of approval’ to rinse and repeat. All this tail chasing lasts for about 5 minutes before she starts doing the ‘tail-twitch of annoyance’ and we call it good. This is the only way I’m able to brush her, she won’t accept the gloves otherwise. The amount of hair I’m able to remove off her in these 5 minutes is seen in the attached photos, and I think the photos do a good job speaking for themselves in terms of hair collection
My youngest cat however, does not care much for the gloves unless she’s seeking to take a nap in my lap. In this case, she absolutely LOVES the gloves and will let me brush her for hours and I’m able to collect even more hair than seen in the attached photos. She is also pretty stubborn about cat brushes and this is the only solution I’ve found that works.
With all of that out of the way, I agree with many other reviewers stating the gloves are difficult to clean. Hair comes right off of the fingers but the palm areas seem to be more difficult to remove all of the hair built up, whether following instructions and spritzing with water before grooming, or not using water at all. The water does help with cleanup, but it’s not 100% in removing all of the hair it collects. It’s not a huge deal for me but worth noting. Oh also the gloves seem a little cheap in terms of craftsmanship but they are comfortable and do a great job on cats. I removed a star for this reason, not necessarily because of clean-up.
In conclusion, I absolutely love these gloves. It’s sicking to me how much hair my cats would have ingested, just in the short amount of time I’ve been using the gloves. And that makes me happy knowing they’re not swallowing all of it anymore and I feel confident that we’ll see improvements with hairballs moving forward, not to mention the amount of hair that will no longer be collecting on the floors (:

The gloves are perfect for daily grooming of my Australian shepherd. She loves them. Only downside is removing the hair from the gloves

These gloves are pure sorcery. The amount of fur they collect is nothing short of alarming—I’m talking build-a-bear workshop, but real levels of fur. I could probably start a side hustle knitting sweaters out of it, or maybe just construct an entirely new cat. Cleaning them is a breeze: yank off the hair mound, marvel at your newfound fuzz mountain, and occasionally toss them in the wash for a spa day.
My foster cat, who treats regular brushes like medieval torture devices, loves these scratchy, magical gloves. Scratchy pets AND de-shedding? It’s like they were custom-made for picky felines with trust issues. My own cats are equally obsessed—one of them purred so loud I thought my phone was vibrating.
The best part? I never have to chase anyone around with a brush again. They come to me, tails high, ready for their luxurious spa treatment. These gloves have officially dethroned every brush I’ve ever owned. Unless I find a foster who sees these as the enemy, brushes are a thing of the past.
And for $15? Honestly, I’d pay double for the sheer entertainment value of pulling off enough fur to audition for Cats: The Musical. If you’ve got pets who shed like they’re getting paid for it, you need these gloves. They’re a little creepy, a lot genius, and 100% life-changing.

    Wasn’t what I expected

  25. Joseph Hamburger

My dogs loved the extra scratches. Plus it took out tons of hair from my shedder. I loved it. They loved it.

  26. Jessica Potts

Product collects my cat’s hair just as advertised. Easy to clean after use.

  27. I. Allmon

    Great Product!

  28. Anne Marie Schroer

I had originally bought this to use on my cats but they were not a fan of it, however, my dogs LOVE them! I have a boxer/ hound mix rescue that has a dual coat and she absolutely loves these combo of petting and brushing! They are so easy to use and once I’m finished her coat is so shiny. It works so well on her and my boxer so they are ideal for any hair length and they don’t pull their hair at all!

  29. Virginia Wood

    Good for basic grooming

Glove to help remove loose fur on cats

  31. 2dz0eq

Loosened a lot of hair! Especially the undercoat!

  32. CMK in MIA

It doesn’t remove quite as much hair, especially undercoat, as the brushes that are intended to pull out hair, but my very sensitive long-haired cat will not allow me to use those brushes.
I keep these gloves in a wicker basket in the bathroom near the toilet because that’s when he likes to visit me, (if you have Cats you know), and that’s when I “pet” him with these gloves. It’s the only way.

  33. J. Davis

    Worked GREAT!

  34. Lawrence R.

    Great for cats

  35. G. McGuire

They are easy to put on and to clean off collected hair. Would suggest using a treat to get your pet use to the look of the gloves and feel of being groomed

  36. Jo

My kitty likes it after a bit. Be sure and wet them first. At first, it kinda scares her a bit but go slow n gental. Then she likes the ” scratchy” massage. Removes a lot of loose cat hair.

  37. monique perez

Amazing!!!!!!!! It does create static but otherwise. Just an amazing product. Took out so much hair in one swipe

  38. toby mcclellan

For something that looks as ridiculous as a pair of studded oven mitts, they work well on my cat. She’s a medium hair cat so brushing is a must but she didn’t like slicker brushes. I saw these, thought what the heck, lets try them and now I’m here giving them a 5 star review. My cat LOVES THESE. I undo the velcro on the gloves and she literally RUNS to where I’m at to get petted and brushed with these. I like them because they’re pretty easy to get the fur off of, if they need washing it’ll just be a rinse with cold water, and they’re inexpensive. I never thought I’d be reviewing cat brushing gloves but after the joy they bring my cat, I figured they deserved it.

  39. James

    Works great

  40. lela

My one cat with short hair loves me to brush her and the one with long hair doesn’t. However she loves for me to pet her with these gloves. I get a whole lot of fur each time I brush her and I’m hoping she’ll have less furballs as a result.

  41. Robert M.

    Better than a brush!

  42. Timothy F. Quinn

It works ok as far as getting the hair out and all. Just very hard to get the hair off the glove really. Not sure if maybe it’s a lot easier to get it off the glove after a long while but after two uses I found it very tough to remove the hair from the glove itself.

  43. Connie

Love it. My finnicky cat even though very skeptical allows me to massage him from a distance. Works well in removing the shredded hair, which is short in length, good value .

  44. Debbie L.

Cat doesn’t like the brush? Give these gloves a try!!!

  45. Kendrick Mcdougald

    Well loved gift

The fur was literally flying everywhere as I used these massage gloves. German Shepherds are notorious for shedding. Try having a white one. I took her outside and started the massage. She didn’t groan in ecstasy, but she stood quietly while I used the gloves on her. She didn’t try to run away. What I liked was that, unlike the brush, which I’m only comfortable using one directional, I was able to massage in all directions, loosening both the top coat and the undercoat. The fur was coming off like nobody’s business. It was everywhere (I had to wash my clothes afterwards because I was covered in it – so were my shoes). After a thorough massage, I got out the brush and gave her a brushing to remove any more loose hair. I had trouble peeling the hair off the gloves, and I guess they’ll get thrown in the wash, too (on hand wash cycle). The area of the patio where I massaged her was covered with hair. Much more than when I brush her. My husband brought out the shop vac and vacuumed it up. I hope it will cut down on the amount of fur in the house, but time will tell. In the meantime, I’m glad we have a Roomba. I think it’s going to take massaging, brushing and using the Roomba pretty much every day to keep us from being smothered in white fur.
10/28/22 Update: The gloves are still working great. I’ve tried several other deshedding implements, and these are the gentlest and work the best. Our dog may have sensitive skin, because other deshedding “brushes” seemed to bother her, while she enjoys the massaging. Believe me, fur flies everywhere! We have to vacuum the patio afterwards. I give her a quick brush with a regular dog brush afterwards to get all the loose fur still clinging to her. The gloves really loosen up the undercoat without hurting her. I usually have to clean each glove (they get completely matted with fur) at least once before I’m finished and again when I finish. I use a regular dog brush to clean the gloves, and no, it doesn’t get all of the fur off of them, but most of it. I haven’t tried washing them yet.
Update 12/3/22: I’m changing to 5 stars. No brush works as well as these gloves for removing fur from our “fur factory” German Shepherd. I occasionally wash the gloves on a hand wash cycle and air dry them. We need to groom her daily, but if we do, it cuts down on the fur in the house enormously. I feel more comfortable using the gloves because white shepherds have sensitive skin, and I know the rubber nubs on the gloves are gentle. My husband and I still end up covered in white fur after grooming her, as does the patio, but that’s the price we pay for our gentle white giant.

I adopted my beautiful rescue dog when she was 1 year old, and even though she’s almost 6 now, she still does not like brushes. I believe something bad may have happened with a brush when she was younger 🙁 so I haven’t pushed the matter — yet, I did need to figure something out for seasonal shedding and itchiness on her part.
Enter the brush glove. Not all are the same, and the options were a little overwhelming. After too much researching and indecisiveness, I finally chose this set.
First impression is that they were well-packaged in an airtight sealed bag. Not over-packaged, but wisely packaged. I feel confident knowing that no one else used this set of brush gloves before me and my dog. The right and left hands fit my average female hands just fine, with room to spare for those with larger hands.
Most importantly, my short-haired but full-coated dog actually LIKES to be pet when I am wearing one of these gloves (I only use one glove at a time), and it does effectively loosen and remove excess fur. IT WORKS. My girl’s fur is shinier, silkier, and she scratches less often. <3
I did find that while the glove captured some of the excess fur it loosened, it didn't get it all, and it piled up a little here and there in the usual places. No biggie for me as some petting afterward without the glove brush (and treats, always a requirement in our grooming routine) quickly swept away the fur bunnies, and a lint brush caught any that ended up on my clothing. You can't groom your dog and expect not to get any fur on you, so for me, this isn't an issue. 🙂 My dog's comfort is my priority with this set, and these brushes deliver.
If you've got a dog who needs some light brushing but isn't comfortable being brushed the traditional way, I'd highly recommend this set. I'm off to go pet/brush my dog now - I hope this review helps someone else experience these brushes with their dog too!

    Just ok

I bought these grooming gloves bc my Golden loves to roll in the dead grass in winter leaving it all over her! Took forever to remove all the grass from her long, feathery fur but not since using these gloves. Afterwards the fur lifts off the glove for the most part then I shake the gloves and most of the grass falls off. Love the gloves!

    Worked better than I expected

Kitty hair remover for short hair cats

  56. Kathleen Ruden

These gloves don’t replace a good dog brush. However, they remove a lot of hair from my large golden retriever. It’s nice to have an option when the weather isn’t good to brush outside

  57. Vincent

    Great value for the price

  58. Kim

These gloves are fantastic, I use them on my Kitty who is very spoiled. They massage as they remove the hair and makes her coat shine. As soon as she sees me with the gloves she comes running because she knows she’s getting a massage! I especially like how the cuff around the wrist of the gloves are tight so that the gloves will not slip off and the hair will not go inside. One Con is that the hair does not fall right off with a shake of the gloves as indicated but I have a round grooming brush that has wire bristles that I use on the gloves and then I just press the button on the brush and the hair comes off in one round piece. I would definitely buy again and recommend

  59. Lindsay Prowse

TL; DR: These gloves are amazing. They’re everything you’re looking for in a grooming tool. They’re of good quality, easy to use, versatile, and EFFECTIVE!
So years ago, a white tom-cat showed up on our farm. We’ve grown to love him, and he’s become our barn cat who’s always lived outside. He’ll disappear for days, then show up again all battered & bloody. For this reason, we started feeding him wet food in hopes of potentially domesticating him-at least enough to get him in for a vet visit and have him neutered. Well a couple months ago, I noticed something was off with him…he couldn’t walk around without falling over, and he would tilt his head. We were able to catch him and take him to a vet, who diagnosed him with a middle ear infection which was causing loss of balance. As not to cause him more harm, I brought him inside for probably the first time in his life. I had no idea how I was going to groom him, and he needed it BAD! I’ve never seen an animal shed as much as him. That’s why these gloves are genius! It took a few times, but as you can see in the pics, now he just loves it! Paired with some feline dry shampoo, it has become our daily ritual to sit in front of the tv while he gets pampered. He’s living his best life now?? I definitely recommend these gloves; I just couldn’t be happier! They are of good quality, super easy to use, just the right size, and extremely effective at collecting hair to minimize the effects of shedding. The ease of hair removal with these gloves is remarkable!
TIP: I spray the gloves with Burt’s Bees Dander Reducing Spray (for cats), and it keeps all the hair on the glove until you’re done! Then you simply pluck out the groups of hair trapped on the glove and toss-easy peasy! I haven’t had them very long, but they seem to be durable. I can also speak to their versatility as I use them on my cats, dogs, and even my horses! I can use the same set of gloves on each animal. Just get them!!!
